Need a ride? Get the SnapRyde app for free on Android or iOS play stores. Schedule a ride in advance or request an immediate ride, SnapRyde will look for the closest driver already planning a drive on your route. You must be 18 years or older to be a Rider with SnapRyde.
Drivers must be 21 years or older to accept ride requests via SnapRyde and must hold a valid US driver's license.
SnapRyde connects riders and drivers based on driver's preferences. Drivers set their preferences to be available for any ride requests or set up their schedule, pickup and drop radius, desired rate per mile and our algorithm will match the best suited rider with the driver.
Riders and drivers are matched based on pick up and drop off locations, verified by Google Maps, and set in advance through SnapRyde. Since drivers (like riders) are most likely on their way to work, they’ll be sticking to their regular commute route and giving a ride along the way.

For the SnapRyde pilot Riders and Drivers share the cost of gas for the trip by any means (Cash, Venmo, etc.) Snapryde at the moment will not charge or handle any kind of transactions.

SnapRyde focuses on covering costs, not generating an income. Riders pitch in for gas at a rate suggested by the driver, making it a great way for drivers to earn a bit of gas money and cover wear and tear on their vehicle, just as you might chip in on a road trip.
Auto insurance policies in many states including Texas typically allow not for profit, share-the-expense carpooling. SnapRyde is designed to help riders and drivers share the cost of carpooling on a given ride. All drivers will be required and expected to have a minimum liability insurance cover and SnapRyde will not be liable for any kind of car or passenger insurance.
SnapRyde makes it easy to help a neighbor or colleague in your area. Detours are minimal so the commute route is almost the same, you get to ride in the carpool lane (if applicable in your area), and the rider helps cover your commute costs - so why not?
